How to dry rose petal tea?

Thanks to its miraculous uses, roses are dried to make rose tea and as well as to preserve them for extended periods of time. Sun or air drying is the most common method for making rose petal tea. Just need to dry for 4 days, rose petal tea can be stored and used for several months. 

Step 1: Harvest the rose flower when it is just before opening. Use your fingers to gently pluck each petal in a swift motion. Wash, strain, and place the petal in single layers to avoid sticking together and rotting. 

Step 2: Spread rose petals in a single layer on a mesh surface, evenly spaced to avoid touching. Dry the petal in the shade as the direct sunlight can fade the color. It takes about 4-6 days to dry fully.

Step 3: Store rose petal tea in a clean and airtight jar. Put the jar in a cool, dry place, without the smell of herbs or other chemicals. In addition, you can also preserve dried rose tea by dividing roses into zip lock-bags and placing them in the refrigerator.

How to brew rose petal tea?

Rose petal tea can be brewed hot or cold. It tastes slightly bitter, delicately sweet, and gently aromatic. Rose petal tea can be more sweet or bitter due to the type of rose flowers. Moreover, the brew time also makes the tea flavor become more or less strong. 

Step 1: Bring 2 cups of water to a boil, then remove from the heat.

Step 2: Add 2 teaspoons of rose petal tea, cover, and steep for 5-10 minutes.
