What is mango oolong tea?
Mango oolong tea is the combination of oolong tea and mango, bringing a distinctive flavor and aroma. While oolong tea comes in a rich, flowery, and honey-like flavor, mango has a sweet and tropical taste. These two flavors blend harmoniously together, creating a wonderful experience for drinkers. Its taste is one of the reasons why oolong mango tea is favored by many people, especially during summer days. This drink also has a typical blonde liquor hue that reflects the sunny days.
In addition to the taste and flavor, mango oolong tea is also preferred for its health benefits. Thanks to its rich sources of antioxidants, fiber, vitamins, and minerals, this drink is beneficial in reducing blood sugar, cholesterol, and the risk of heart diseases and cancer. Besides, mango oolong tea can help increase insulin sensitivity, prevent heat shock, and protect our eyes from UV rays.

What to know about mango oolong tea ingredients?
As its name suggests, mango oolong tea’s main ingredients are oolong tea and mango fruit. So, what to know about these materials?
Oolong tea
How is oolong tea made?
Oolong tea is made from Camellia sinensis plant leaves, such as green or black tea. Fresh tea leaves are harvested carefully and immediately delivered to the factory. The tea leaves then are withered to become softer. Before being fermented in a 18 – 200℃ room for 1,5-2 hours, tea is rotated to break down cells and promote the oxidation. When fermentation reaches the right level, tea leaves are roasted at high temperature to create distinctive aroma and hue. After that, they are rolled, shaped, and dried to stabilize the substances in the tea.
What is the difference between oolong tea and black tea?
Oolong tea might sometimes be mistaken as a variation of black tea. Although it also has some characteristics of green or black tea, oolong tea still has its own features. Oolong tea is normally produced from larger leaves with a complex smell. While black tea is somewhat earthy, oolong tea tends to have a sweet and honeyed note. Besides, the rate of oolong tea’s oxidation is in between that of green and black tea, bringing a yellow light green hue.

Mango
How does mango taste?
Mango is a type of tropical stone fruit originating from Southeast Asia. Mango comes in an oval shape and a smooth skin with various sizes. It has a big flat seed in the center and a yellow-orange flesh when it is ripe. Mango is edible both when it is ripe and unripe. While unripe mango usually has a sour note and a hard texture, ripe one offers a soft and tender texture with a juicy and sweet taste. Its taste is described to share some similarities with pineapple, peach, apple, or apricot.
What are the benefits of mango?
Not only does mango have a refreshing tropical taste, it also offers numerous health benefits. The mango is packed with various vitamins and minerals, such as vitamins A, C, folate, and fiber. Thanks to that content, mangoes are believed to be good for our hearts, skin, eyes, and immune system and reduce oxidative stress. In addition, the antioxidants in mango also protect our body from cancer cells.
