Caffeine-free strawberry hibiscus tea recipe

Iced strawberry hibiscus tea is a fruity, floral refreshing drink on hot days. Besides, it is caffeine-free as this recipe does not contain real tea leaves from tea plants, Camellia sinensis. It is a simple recipe with a few ingredients, which everyone can try at home.

Ingredients

  • Hibiscus tea bags
  • Strawberries
  • Sweeteners
  • Water
  • Ice 

Instructions

Step 1: Brew the tea by letting the hibiscus tea bags steep in boiled water for about 10 minutes. Then, remove the bags and let the tea rest.

Step 2: Make the strawberry syrup.

  • Rinse the strawberries, cut off the stems, and chop them into pieces.
  • Add chopped strawberries, water, and sugar to a pot. Bring it to a heat, and stir frequently.
  • When it boils, reduce the heat and let it simmer until the texture becomes thicker. 

Step 3: Fill a glass with some ice cubes and pour the hibiscus tea into it. Add a couple of spoonfuls of strawberry syrup and stir well to enjoy. Besides, you can top the glass with some fresh strawberry pieces to garnish.

Strawberry hibiscus limeade tea recipe

Hibiscus is not only well known for its deep red hue but also its distinctive sweet-sour taste. In the strawberry hibiscus limeade recipe, the strawberries will add more sweetness, which is then balanced by lime’s tartness.  

Ingredients

  • Dried hibiscus tea
  • Fresh strawberries
  • Limes
  • Sugar
  • A pinch of salt
  • Water

Instructions

Step 1: Boil the water and add dried hibiscus sepals. Allow them to brew for about 10 minutes. Take out the hibiscus flowers to get the tea liquor. You can add some sugar in this step, and stir well to dissolve it. 

Step 2: Wash the strawberries, remove the stems, and cut them into small pieces. Zest the lime and squeeze to get the juice. After that, combine the strawberries, lime zest, lime juice, and some salt. 

Step 3: Add the strawberry and lime mixture to the tea liquor. Adjust the ratio to suit your taste, then keep it in the fridge. Whenever you want to enjoy it, serve it in a glass with some crushed ice.

Iced strawberry hibiscus tea latte recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 hibiscus tea bags
  • 2 green tea bags
  • Coconut milk
  • Fresh strawberry
  • Sugar or honey
  • Water 

Instructions

Step 1: Add the tea bags to a jug and pour the boiled water over them. Let them steep for about 10 minutes. Take the bags out and allow the liquor to cool down. 

Step 2: Remove the strawberries’ stems. Use a fork to smash about 5 strawberries. Then, add the pureed to the tea liquor. You can add some sugar in this step, depending on your taste. 

Step 3: Slice some fresh strawberries for decoration.

Step 4: Add some ice to the glass, followed by the tea mixture. Gradually pour coconut milk into the glass with a ratio of 1 tea to 2 milk. You can adjust the proportion to your taste. Finish with fresh strawberry slices on the top, and a glass of tasty strawberry hibiscus latte is ready.

Strawberry hibiscus bubble tea recipe

Bubble tea has been one of the most sought-after beverages, especially for teenagers and young people. Thanks to its popularity, numerous varieties of bubble tea have been created, including strawberry hibiscus bubble tea.   • 2 hibiscus tea bags or 2 tablespoons dried hibiscus loose tea
  • Strawberry syrup
  • Tapioca pearls
  • Dairy or non-dairy milk
  • Sugar (optional)
  • Water and ice cubes

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the tea

Boil the water, add the hibiscus tea bags or dried hibiscus loose tea, and let them steep for about 10 minutes. Remove the bags or hibiscus flowers and allow the liquor to cool down. 

Step 2: Cook tapioca pearls

If you buy premade tapioca pearls, there usually be detailed instructions on the packaging to follow. However, you can refer to the following method:

  • Pour water into a pot, with a 5:1 ratio of water to pearls, and bring it to a boil. 
  • When the water boils, add dried tapioca pearls to the pot, and stir slightly to avoid sticking. 
  • When the bubbles float, reduce the heat and let it simmer for 30 minutes. 
  • Turn off the heat and allow them to rest for another 30 minutes.
  • Take out the pearls, and rinse them quickly in cool water. 
  • Sweeten the boba with some sugar or honey. 

Step 3: Assemble the drink

Put tapioca pearls and strawberry syrup into a cup. Add ice, milk, and hibiscus tea respectively. Stir well and you can enjoy it immediately. As the bubbles and strawberry syrup are already sweet, there is no need to add sugar. You should use a wide straw to get some tea and bubbles with each sip.
