Introduction
Lemongrass tea combinations are considered healthy beverages with a distinctive aroma and flavor from lemongrass. Lemongrass and tea both contain numerous nutrients, so their blending is safe to enjoy everyday. They can be mixed with other fruits and herbs such as peaches, oranges, kumquats, lemons, or ginger to bring more flavor layers.
What is lemongrass?
Lemongrass is a tall and stalky plant in the grass family. It is widely grown in tropical areas, especially in Southeast Asia. Lemongrass is a herb with a gingery flavor and undertones of lemon. As the essential oil is the same as lemon, lemongrass is frequently used in teas to provide a lemony taste. Generally, fresh lemongrass is preferable because it brings a better balance of flavors, while dried one provides a woodsy taste.
Lemongrass has a wide variety of usages. It is a popular ingredient in food and drink recipes in Thailand, Indonesia, India, etc. It can be mixed with meat, seafood, vegetables as well as tea and other beverages. Besides, it can be used as a fragrance in other industries. The presence of lemongrass may help inhibit the development of several bacteria and yeast. Additionally, some compounds in this plant are believed to bring antioxidant effects, reduce pain and swelling, lower blood sugar, cholesterol levels, and so on.

A lemongrass tea combination is a blending of leaves or stalks of lemongrass plants and tea leaves. Black tea is usually used in this combination to make the flavor of lemongrass stand out. However, other teas such as green tea, oolong tea, or white tea can also be used. Besides, ginger, lemon juice, or honey are also added to enrich the flavor of lemongrass tea combinations. The distinctive aroma of lemongrass combined with the acid-base of tea will bring a mild taste and relaxing flavor to drinkers.
Lemongrass tea combinations can be enjoyed hot or cold. If you are looking for a healthy beverage to relax your body and help release toxins, hot lemongrass tea combinations are useful options.
